Are you looking for a basketball hobby for a child or young person in Helsinki?
Helsinki NMKY offers junior basketball for girls and boys born between 2008 and 2021. The local teams for children born between 2014 and 2021 practise close to home in Pakila, Malmi and central Helsinki. Under the guidance of trained coaches, participants learn basketball skills, enjoy a wide range of physical activities and make new friends.

Enjoy a Free Two-Week Trial
Please register with the team before attending your first practice. This ensures that the club has the necessary details of everyone participating. Once registered, you will also be able to see all upcoming practices and receive team communications from the very beginning.
You can find each team’s practice schedule by clicking the More Information link on the team page. All you need to bring is suitable indoor sportswear, indoor shoes and your own water bottle, you can take also own basketball with you if you want.
We offer everyone interested a free two-week trial period.
Adult Basketball Courses
Helsinki NMKY’s adult sports activities offer a great opportunity to enjoy exercise and experience a sense of community through basketball. We offer basketball courses for both women and men, and everyone is welcome regardless of their background or previous experience. Courses are held at Namika Arena in Pakila and at the Hotel Arthur sports hall in central Helsinki.
